Arsenal's manager Mikel Arteta has praised the young French defenseman who seems to have settled in well with the team.

William Saliba made his Arsenal debut in their Premier League opening game against Crystal Palace last week.


A goal from Gabriel Martinelli and own goal from Guehi made sure that the Gunners secured their win.


Saliba was named the match's best player during the time that Arsenal won 2-0 against Crystal Palace 2-0 last Friday.


Arteta in a press conference prior to the Premier League fixture against Leicester City He also talked about the possibility of a new contract with the Frenchman.


"He's an incredibly dedicated and humble boy. He's keen to discuss the things he's looking to do and also be taught.


"The initial impression that we received after regaining him from the loanfrom him] was positive. The way he moves, the posture and the confidence his actions are extremely grown-up," Arteta said.


Concerning a potential future contract extension for the player who is 21 years old, He added "We will tackle these issues the same way we do.
