Former Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno has taken a dig at his former club, revealing the reason he left the Gunners.

Bernd Leno, who is 30 years of age is a German professional goalkeeper who currently plays for Premier League club Fulham.

The 30 years old shot stopper left Mikel Arteta side on a permanent deal to the West side of London.

Fulham completed the signing of Leno from Arsenal for fee in the region of £8m this summer transfer window. 

BERND LENO EXIT AT ARSENAL 

The German goalkeeper completed the move to Arsenal back in 2018 on five-year contract for a fee of £22.5 million from Bayern Leverkusen. 

Bernd Leno established himself as number one as he replaced former Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech. 


The former Leverkusen goalkeeper was relegated to a backup following the arrival of Aaron Ramsdale in 2021 from Bournemouth. 

LENO BLAMES ARSENAL'S POLITICS REASON HE LEFT..... 


In an explosive interview, Bernd Leno said he left the Emirates stadium due to their internal politics. 

According to the German shot stopper, he wasn't getting selected for games despite his quality and performance at Arsenal. 

He said: “When I realized that it wasn’t about performance or quality, I knew that I had to go. In preparation, I saw that it is not about performance, but only about politics. It was clear to me: I had to get out of here.”

BERND LENO HONOURS AT ARSENAL

Before he left Arsenal, Leno won FA Community Shield in 2020 as well as finishing runner up in UEFA Europa League in the 2018–19 season.
