Ex Barcelona and Bayern Munich star Arturo Vidal missed his father's burial ceremony as he watched it online due to Cup game for Flamengo

Former Juventus and Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal watched his father's funeral on social media. 

The former Barcelona and Juventus midfielder missed his father's burial ceremony in his hometown in Chile. 

Arturo Vidal joined Brazilian side, Flamengo on 18 months deal after he terminated his contract with Inter Milan in Serie A this summer.

Reportminds Blog understands that Vidal couldn't travel home as he decided to stay in Brazil to play in the Copa do Brasil final.

If you recall that Vidal father Erasmo, passed away following a cardiac arrest, at a racecourse in Santiago, Chile, whilst looking after his son's animals.

Arturo Vidal is a Chilean professional footballer who currently plays for Brazilian club Flamengo. 

Vidal featured for Flamengo in the first leg of the Copa do Brasil final on Thursday against Corinthians. 

Meanwhile Vidal's sister Ambrar broadcast the funeral service on Instagram Live for the footballer to watch with his followers. 

Flamengo drew 0-0 in Corinthians home in the first leg while the second leg comes  on Wednesday night, at Maracana Stadium, home of the Rio De Janeiro side.
