British media personality Piers Morgan has sparked reactions from fans after he uploaded image of Cristiano Ronaldo holding an Arsenal shirt.
Cristiano Ronaldo has been under the spotlight for past few days after bombshell interview in which he accused Man United of disrespecting him.
The 37-year-old held the one on one interview with Piers Morgan where he criticized the club, his manager and former team mates.
Manchester United today confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo contract had been mutually terminated.
"The club thanks him for his immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford, scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances, and wishes him and his family well for the future. Everyone at Manchester United remains focused on continuing the team’s progress under Erik ten Hag and working together to deliver success on the pitch."
Cristiano Ronaldo who is currently representing his national team Portugal at the World Cup also released a statement, saying: “Following talks with Manchester United, we’ve mutually agreed to end our contract. I love Manchester United and I love the fans, that will never ever change. It feels like the right time to seek a new challenge. I wish Man Utd all the best. "
Ronaldo is expected to lead Portugal when they kick off their campaign on Thursday against the Black Stars of Ghana.
Meanwhile, Piers Morgan got fans reactions of him sharing a photo of Ronaldo holding an Arsenal shirt with iconic jersey no 7 imprinted on it.
It's understood that Piers Morgan is huge supporter of Arsenal and he has often showcased his love for Ronaldo to join the Gunners.
