Robert Lewandowski could face match three match suspension due to his gesture at referee after he was sent off against Osasuna

Robert Lewandowski was sent off during Barcelona's La Liga clash with Osasuna away from home.

The 34-year-old Poland was shown his second yellow card in the game as Xavi Hernandez side ran away with three points at the end.

Osasuna took the lead after David Garcia scored the opening goal after six minutes.

Then, Lewandowski got his first booking after 11 minutes before his second yellow in the 31st minute for contesting a dangerous header.

Although, Barcelona pulled a goal back two minutes into the second half after Pedri found the back of the net.

Xavi Hernandez side were reduced to nine men after Gerard Pique was also shown a red card in the 45 minutes.

Raphinha scored the winning goal for Barcelona in the 85 minutes to extend their lead at the top of the La Liga table to five points.

Lewandowski set to miss three games

The Poland international will be ruled out of next Barcelona three games after he his gesture at the referee. 

The former Bayern Munich star was caught in camera taking a dig at referee Jesus Gil Manzano was on drugs. 

Lewandowski appears to make a sniffing motion with his hand before signalling behind him while leaving the pitch. Many are interpreting the gesture to mean that referee Jesus Gil Manzano was on drugs

Games Lewandowski will miss for Barcelona 

Lewandowski set to miss the next three games for the Catalan giants. He will miss the Catalan derby against Espanyol visit the Camp Nou on 31st December after the World Cup. 

Then, miss Barcelona trip to Madrid following week to take on Atletico Madrid, and finally League game with Real Betis three days later.
