World Cup 2022: Niclas Füllkrug strike earns a point for Germany against Spain (Video)

Niclas Fullkrug came from the substitute bench for Germany to score the equaliser against Spain in their Sunday's fixture. 

Germany national team haven't been impressive this campaign at the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar. 

Recall that Hansi Flick men suffered an embarrassing 2-1 defeat to Japan in their opening group game. 

Germany needed to respond in their second game against Luis Enrique side who had thrashed Costa Rica 7-0 in their opening game. 

It looked that the German side were in thr blink of exit from the competition after Alvaro Morata came off the bench to put Spain in front in the second half. 

The Spanish players were seen jubilating with the result heading their way as they hoped to extend their lead at the top of group. 

Young Jamal Musiala was one of the brightest stars in th Germany set up as he continues to display on attacking threat. 

After several opportunities at front of goal, Germany equalised and this time wasn't ruled out by the VAR. 

Antonio Rudiger had scored with a header which was cancelled as offside early in the game. 

29-year-old wrote his name into the history books by drawing Hansi Flick's side level against La Roja. 

Niclas Fullkrug cancelled out a goal from Alvaro Morata as Germany held Spain to a 1-1 draw. 

Germany have just one point in the group and will need to defeat Costa Rica in their final game while Spain beat Japan.

Anything other than a victory for Hansi Flick men will see them crash out of FIFA tournament for the second time in a row.
