Arsenal moved seven points ahead of West Ham at the top of the Premier League after a remarkable comeback in the second half that resulted in a 3-1 victory over West Ham on Boxing Day.

Said Benrahma's penalty gave the Gunners a halftime lead, but Mikel Arteta's league leaders responded brilliantly to win 13 of 15 league games this season.

Mikel Arteta's team put on a strong performance after the break, scoring three goals in 15 minutes to win easily.

Bukayo Saka scored from close range after collecting Martin Odegaard's missed shot, and Gabriel Martinelli scored from a tight angle to give the north London club the lead. Eddie Nketiah scored the goal after turning around Thilo Kehrer in the West Ham encirclement and finishing in the base corner.

However, attacker Gabriel Jesus was observed supporting his teammates on crutches last night during Arsenal's match with West Ham United.

The 25-year-old Brazilian was seen with a clutches with his right leg strapped with braces as he continues to recover from injury.

If you recall that Gabriel Jesus sustained the knee injury during his participation for Brazil at the World Cup in Qatar this year.

It's been gathered that the former Manchester City striker could be out of action until next year March.

Mikel Arteta, who is the manager of Arsenal has called on the board for financial support in the January transfer window.
