Arsenal have been handed huge boost on the contract situation of William Saliba.

It's been gathered that William Saliba's contract has an extension clause that Arsenal has triggered, extending the player's deal until 2024.

The Frenchman has been a standout performer for the Gunners this Premier League season, helping them to hold the top spot going into 2023.

He has helped the Gunners keep a clean sheet in six of their 15 games in the Premier League, starting every game for them.

This is just Saliba debut season with the Gunners despite being at the club since 2019.

Despite having joined the north London club in 2019, he has only played one full season there after on-loan stints with St. Etienne, Nice, and Marseille.

Reportminds Blog understands that The current contract of the 21-year-old was due to expire in the summer, but Mikel Arteta's representatives have activated a clause that will keep him with the club for an additional year.

Transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano claims that although the Gunners have activated the clause extending the defender's contract until 2024, negotiations for a long-term contract are still ongoing.
