Former Manchester United and Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has emerged the highest paid footballer in the World.
This comes after his mega money move to Saudi Arabia side on a two years deal as a free agent.
On Friday, Al Nassr of the Saudi Arabian league completed the acquisition of former Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo.
After his agreement with Manchester United was terminated in November, Ronaldo was a free agent for just over a month.
While he was playing at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar with Portugal, Ronaldo was negotiating his deal with Al Nassr.
According to CBS Sports, Ronaldo would make €216 million annually if his contract with Al Nassr were fully ratified.
By far, this cannot be compared to the €75 million that Paris Saint-Germain stars Lionel Messi and Neymar earn each season.
10 Kevin De Bruyne (Man City) – $29m
9 Andres Iniesta (Vissel Kobe) – $30m
8 Eden Hazard (Real Madrid) – $31m
