Spanish football club, Barcelona left fans surprised after they celebrated former player Lionel Messi success at FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Recall that Argentina who were captain by Lionel face France team that have two Barcelona players, Ousmane Dembele and Jules Koundé.

On Sunday evening in Qatar, Lionel Messi and the Argentina National Team won the World Cup.

After defeating France in the final on Sunday, the South American team won their third FIFA World Cup title in history.

The Blaugrana made numerous posts about Lionel Messi's new milestone on their official Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter accounts, so Barcelona wasn't left out of the celebration.

The fact that Barcelona is celebrating the victory of their former player, Lionel Messi, rather than their two current players, Ousmane Dembele and Jules Kounde, has confused football fans.

In the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar, the two made appearances for the Le Bleus as they played against Argentina.

However, Barcelona decided to commemorate his 35-year career with a World Cup appearance in 2022, where he led the Albiceleste to their third FIFA World Cup trophy.
