Barcelona have been boosted following reports that Robert Lewandowski has been cleared to play in the Calatan derby.

The 35-year-old striker is one Xavi Hernandez main player and he would like to miss him due to suspension.

Lewandowski has been able to adapt to style of football at Camp Nou since he arrived from Bayern Munich this summer.

After a Spanish court reversed his punishment, Robert Lewandowski will be eligible for Barcelona's match against Espanyol, Reportminds Blog understands.

The La Liga leaders announced on Friday that striker Robert Lewandowski will be eligible for Barcelona's match against Espanyol after a Spanish court lifted his suspension.

Lewandowski was scheduled to sit out the game after receiving a three-game suspension from the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) after receiving a red card during Barcelona's 2-1 victory against Osasuna in November.

After hauling Nacho Vidal back in the 11th minute and seeming to elbow David Garcia in the face 20 minutes later, the 34-year-old was given his first yellow card.

The Poland striker received a three-match suspension despite receiving a second yellow for this tackle that resulted in his dismissal.
Lewandowski received a three-game suspension, according to the RFEF Officiating Committee, for making a gesture toward the official after being issued a red card that demonstrated "contemptuous attitude toward the referees."

Barcelona said last month that they will challenge the suspension. Their appeal was turned down by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) earlier this month, according to sources in Spanish media.
