Chelsea won the Premier League for the first time since October 16 by beating Bournemouth 2-0 at home thanks to goals from Kai Havertz and Mason Mount.
However, the injury that ended Reece James's comeback after the defender lasted 50 minutes before he walked off the pitch.
Graham Potter named James to the starting XI after he missed more than two months with a knee injury.
Before collapsing in front of the head coach and having to be replaced, he displayed admirable performance for nearly an hour. The English international couldn't continue and was replaced by Cesar Azpilicueta.
Regardless, strikes from Havertz in the 16 minutes and Mason Mount in 24 minutes put Chelsea in control of the game.
