Obafemi Martins, a former forward for Inter Milan and a member of the Nigerian national team, has accomplished something else.

Obafemi earned a weighted grade summary of 98% and received a degree in entrepreneurship in emerging markets from Harvard.

Obafemi is one of the most accomplished Nigerian athletes, having won championships while playing for Inter Milan, Newcastle United, Portsmouth, and Rubin Kazan in Italy, England, and Russia.


The former Super Eagles striker posted a video of himself studying and having a celebration with pals along with this information on his social media accounts.

“Never let other’s opinion of you define you,” Obafemi said in a post on Instagram.

Obafemi, who made his debut in the 2004 Unity Cup and went on to earn 42 Nigerian appearances and score 18 goals.

He last played for Chinese club Wuhan before announcing his retirement earlier this year. He was a member of the Super Eagles team that placed third in the 2006 AFCON.

“You can surprise yourself with what you can accomplish,” he added.
