It has been the privilege of many players to play for both Real Madrid and Chelsea, two of the best football teams in the world.

Four of the most prominent footballers that have represented Chelsea and Real Madrid are examined in this article:

1. Arjen Robben:

The Dutch winger, who represented Chelsea from 2004 until 2007, was an important player. After aiding the Blues in winning the League Cup and the Premier League, he was awarded the PFA Players' Player of the Year in 2005. In 2007, he relocated to Real Madrid, where he won the Copa del Rey and La Liga.

2. Thibaut Courtois:

The Belgian goalkeeper was promptly moved on loan to Atletico Madrid after switching from Genk to Chelsea in 2011, where he spent three seasons and developed into one of the best in the world. He returned to Chelsea in 2014, where he won the Premier League, the League Cup, and the Europa League in his debut campaign.

In a 2018 transfer that might have cost up to £35 million, he went to Real Madrid.

3. Michael Essien:

The Ghanaian midfielder who joined Chelsea from Lyon in 2005 quickly cemented himself as an important player. In addition to the FA Cup and League Cup, he assisted the Blues in winning the Premier League twice. In 2012, he moved to Real Madrid on loan, where he played in 16 games and scored one goal. He re-joined Chelsea the next year and remained there till 2019.

4. Eden Hazard

Possibly the most well-known player to have played for both teams is the Belgian winger. Hazard transferred from Lille to Chelsea in 2012, where he quickly established himself as one of the best players in the Premier League. He captured two league titles, the Europa League, and the League Cup with the Blues. In 2019, he moved to Real Madrid in a deal for up to £150 million.
