Liverpool's Next Five Matches In All Competitions Are Winnable Except One

On Thursday night, Liverpool was eliminated from the EFL Cup after falling to Manchester City 3-2 at the Etihad Stadium. The Reds yesterday were below par, which cost them another championship.


Fabio Carvalho scored for the visitors to tie the game at halftime despite City dominating the first period and taking the lead through Erling Haaland's close-range strike.

Riyad Mahrez gave City the lead again after the break, but Mohamed Salah quickly pulled Liverpool level.

But Nathan Ake's close-range header from Kevin De Bruyne's precise cross gave him the victory. The Reds were eliminated, while City progressed to the last eight.

In the Premier League, Liverpool will take on matches against Aston Villa, Brentford, Leicester City, and Brighton.

The Reds travel to Villa Park to face Unai Emery side on Boxing day in the evening before they host Leicester City at the Anfield stadium four days later.
