The prestigious Samba Gold award has been nominated for Bruno Guimaraes of Newcastle United.

The Samba Gold, presented by Sambafoot to the best Brazilian international player, made its debut in 2008.

Guimaraes is one of 12 Brazilian players currently in England. The other Premier League players include Alisson, Antony, Casemiro, Ederson, Fabinho, Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli, Lucas Paqueta, Philippe Coutinho, Richarlison, and Thiago Silva.

Bremer, Danilo, Eder Militao, Marquinhos, Neymar, Rodrygo, Raphinha, and Vinicius Junior are the remaining nominees.

The 26-year-old scored a header with a bullet against Leicester when the Magpies returned to Premier League action.
