Newcastle forward Joelinton confirms his girlfriend is pregnant with his goal celebration against Leicester

Joelinton "announced" his girlfriend's pregnancy as he celebrated his goal against Leicester.

Following the apparent announcement made by the Brazilian during yesterday's 3-0 win over Leicester, Newcastle United midfielder Joelinton and his girlfriend Thays Gondim made the announcement in a joint Instagram post that they are expecting their third child. 

The 26-year-old smashed a header past Foxes goalkeeper Danny Ward to give the Magpies their third goal of the game. He then picked up the ball, put it up his shirt, ran toward a camera with his thumb in his mouth, and made a heart with his hands.

Gondim shared photos of Joelinton's celebration and some of the couple with their other two children along with a message to the Magpies player and a brief message to their unborn child on Instagram.

The caption read: "When God chose you to be the father of my children, you gave me the greatest blessing of my life. I have no words to express my gratitude and happiness.

"You are undoubtedly the best in the world on and off the field!!! And to you my son, the heart of your brothers and the whole family is full of love waiting for you, come strong!!!"

Since Eddie Howe took over at St. James' Park, Joelinton has changed into a different animal. He has already scored two goals and gotten an assist as the Magpies are flying high this season.
