Following Brazil's elimination from the 2022 FIFA World Cup, striker Neymar wrote a sincere message to departing coach Tite.
Tite resigned as manager of Selecao following their heartbreaking 4-2 penalty shootout loss to Croatia in the quarterfinals.
Taking to his social media space, he posted: "We played against each other a lot before we met, and I always found you to be quite aggravating! You made every effort to defeat me because you assembled a team to mark me."
Since his hiring in June 2016, the Brazilian tactician has produced 61 wins, 13 draws, and seven loses in 81 games. He led Brazil to the Copa America title in 2019.
After making 54 appearances for him under Tite, giving 30 assists, and scoring 31 goals, Neymar gave Tite a poignant letter.
He added: "I knew you as a coach and thought you were excellent, but you are fantastic as a person! What important to me is that you are aware of who I am."
Brazil's Neymar has left his choices about his future playing for Selecao open following his team's catastrophic elimination from the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The PSG forward is yet to decide his international career with Brazil at the moment.
