Chelsea football club have confirmed that Reece James has sustained a injury set back after Tuesday's win over Bournemouth.
It's been gathered that the England International underwent a scan to confirm the extent of the injury which saw him last until 53 minutes.
The England defender suffered an injury in Tuesday's 2-0 victory over Bournemouth in the Premier League.
If you recall that Reece James, who missed the World Cup with a physical issue to a similar knee, lasted 53 minutes against Bournemouth.
He walked straight into the tunnel and he was replaced by Cesar Azpilicueta who finished the game.
James remained at Stamford Bridge for nearly an hour before experiencing the same knee discomfort and being ordered to leave. He had a knee brace on when he left the stadium.
The following statement from Chelsea provides evidence that Reece James has sustained an injury:
“Reece James underwent assessment earlier today, scan results confirmed a setback with Reece set to be ruled out for up to a month”, Chelsea confirms.
Graham Potter, Chelsea's head coach, acknowledged that he was concerned about James' setback and stated that any team would miss the England right-back's quality.
Meanwhile, Reece James took to his social media space on Wednesday December 28th to express hi disappointment on the set back.
Although the defender appreciated the fame for their support and he vows to come back stronger next year.
