According to an official statement released by the club, Isco's contract with Sevilla has been terminated.
The Spanish worldwide arrangement with Seville side has been canceled only four months after he joined the club from Real Madrid on a free transfer.
After leaving Real Madrid in August, the 30-year-old signed a two-year contract and left on a free transfer to Sevilla.
“The club would like to wish Isco the very best of luck for the future,” Sevilla said in a club statement.
Isco helped Real Madrid win the Champions League five times and the La Liga three times after joining from Malaga in 2013.
He played 353 games for Real Madrid and scored 53 goals. However, in his final season at the Bernabeu, he only made 17 appearances and was not used as a substitute as Real Madrid defeated Liverpool in the Champions League final.
However, after only 19 appearances for Sevilla, in which he scored once and assisted three times, he has now been released.
If you recall, more than 10,000 fans attended Isco's Sevilla player presentation in August, but coach Julen Lopetegui was fired in October.
It was believed that Jorge Sampaoli's plans did not include Isco. Then, during training this month, he reportedly got into a fight with sporting director Monchi of Sevilla.
The Valencian youth player also made 38 appearances for Spain, scoring 12 goals. His last international game was in 2019.
