The Pittsburgh Steelers hired Mike Tomlin as their head coach in 2007. Tomlin previously served as a member of the Minnesota Vikings and Tampa Bay Buccaneers coaching staffs in the NFL before accepting the position in the Steel City. Additionally, he held positions with the Virginia Military Institute, Arkansas State, the University of Cincinnati, and the University of Memphis football teams.

With the Steelers, Tomlin has achieved a great deal of success. The team has been in the playoffs 10 times, won 7 division titles, played in 3 AFC Championship Games, and won 2 Super Bowls, including Super Bowl XLIII. However, little is known about his life outside of the game and the woman he is married to, despite the fact that his accomplishments on the field are well-documented.

How Tomlin and Winston met

Kiya Winston was born in Morristown, New Jersey, on January 13, 1974. Her sister Mia is an artist and photographer.

Kiya became interested in fashion at a young age and began sewing when she was a child. She wanted to earn a degree in fashion design after high school. She met her future husband while she was a student at The College of William & Mary. Winston was a gymnast at the school, and Tomlin was a wide receiver for The Tribe, so they were both involved in athletics.

The couple secured the bunch in 1996 and today Winston has her own style line. She declared her collection to be "sustainable fashion" and to "primarily use bamboo fabrics, an earth-friendly fabric" on Instagram.

There are three children born to Tomlin and his wife—two sons and a daughter.

Michael Dean, their eldest son, was born on December 16, 2000. He practiced wide receiver like his father did. He turned down offers from Army, the University of Pittsburgh, and Iowa State and decided to attend the University of Maryland.

Mason, their second son, was born on January 15, 2002, and he also plays football as a defensive back. Mason accepted Columbia over William & Mary and Robert Morris offers.

Harlyn Quinn, Tomlin and Winston's daughter, was born in 2006. She has emulated her mom's example as a gymnastic specialist at Shadyside Foundation.
