According to Pep Guardiola, the abilities of Erling Haaland and Chelsea striker Raheem Sterling cannot be compared.
Immediately following yesterday's Carabao Cup triumph for Manchester City, Guardiola outlined how his new number nine is very different from Sterling in terms of skills.
The summer signing for Chelsea may have attended yesterday night's match between his two former teams at the Etihad, which Liverpool lost 3-2.
Sterling would have also seen Haaland score his 19th goal of the year had he switched on the television.
The World Cup-winning player from Norway opened his account for the season after the tournament in just 10 minutes.
“Absolutely,” Guardiola replied when asked if he was pleased with his front man’s overall contribution last night.
“Erling is not like Rico (Lewis), for example, or Raheem in the past, like in one training session he is fit and ready. He’s so tall, he’s big, to move his body is not easy.”
If you recall that Raheem Sterling left Manchester City this season for Chelsea for fee in reported 40m pounds.
Although the 28 years old has been struggling to find his feet at Stamford Bridge so far.
