Mourinho now plays for AS Roma in the Serie A; he transferred to in the summer of 2021 after being fired from Tottenham Hotspur.

The former Premier League manager, according to Metro UK, is dissatisfied at Roma and wants to return to the English top division.

Despite having led them to victory in the Europa Conference League the previous season, the magazine alleges that Mourinho feels as though the Italian powerhouses are not providing him with financial support.

Giallorossi have struggled this season due to their inability to make fresh acquisitions; with 37 points, they are now ranked sixth in the rankings, 13 points behind Napoli for first place.

Mourinho had a great run in the English Premier League, with his time at Chelsea being his most fruitful.

Between 2004 and 2007, the Portuguese's first stint with the Blues brought the Stamford Bridge-based team back-to-back Premier League championships, the FA Cup, and two League Cups.

Before being fired in 2015, the 60-year-old made a second trip back to Stamford Bridge in 2013.

He was fired a second time, though, after joining Manchester United, a rival team.
