Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang appears to be headed out of the Premier League club this month, having only signed with Chelsea from Barcelona at the close of the transfer window last summer.
Aubameyang's Chelsea playing time has been inconsistent under new head coach Graham Potter, despite his arrival at the club from Thomas Tuchel. For The Blues, he has made 16 appearances across all competitions, scoring just three times.
He was not included in Chelsea's squad for Sunday's heavy FA Cup loss to Manchester City. His future at the club is unknown. In less than six months after leaving, several La Liga clubs are interested in bringing Aubameyang back to Spain, according to The Daily Mail.
As they begin their search for Joao Felix's replacement, Atletico Madrid is among the teams that are interested in the Gabonese international. The Portuguese are expected to join Aubameyang's current club on loan until the end of the season after leaving Los Rojiblancos.
However, despite Felix's arrival, Chelsea lack strikers, making it difficult for Atleti to make a deal to sign Aubameyang at the moment.
