Casemiro out of Arsenal clash due to suspension from picking up 5th yellow card

Manchester United have been dealt serious blow after Casemiro picked up his fifth yellow card of the season. 

The Manchester United midfielder will miss a game due to the accumulated yellow cards, according to the rule book in the Premier League. 

For this weekend's Super Sunday match between Manchester United and Arsenal, Casemiro will serve a suspension.

This season, Casemiro has been a major component of Ten Hag's plans, playing every minute of football in United's final nine Premier League contests.

With ten minutes remaining in United's 1-1 draw away at Crystal Palace, the Brazilian midfielder received his fifth caution of the year, carrying a one-match suspension. 

Ten Hag's team behind Arsenal by eight points heading into the weekend, allowing second-placed Manchester City the chance to pass their neighbors by three points when they play host to Tottenham on Thursday night.

 

At Selhurst Park, Casemiro denied Wilfried Zaha on the break, resulting in a free kick and safeguarding United's 1-0 advantage.

However, United's brilliant free-kick from Michael Olise in stoppage time cost them two points in their pursuit of Arsenal at the top and one of their key midfielders' participation in this weekend's match at the Emirates Stadium.
