The players who won't be available for both teams' Premier League match on Thursday have been confirmed by Pep Guardiola of Manchester City and Graham Potter of Chelsea.
In the Premier League match, Chelsea will host Manchester City on Thursday night at Stamford Bridge.
Both teams enter the match having played to 1-1 draws in their previous Premier League matches against Nottingham Forest and Everton, respectively.
On Wednesday, during each of their pre-game press conferences, Guardiola announced that Ruben Dias would not play against the Blues.
The kick-off time for the match is 9 pm.
Guardiola said: “Ruben is out. Aymer [Laporte], we will see today at the training session.”
Edouard Mendy, the Senegal goalkeeper who suffered a shoulder injury while competing for his country at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, will not face Guardiola's team, according to Potter.
Potter said of Mendy, “He’s been training a little bit more than he was.
“He’s not fully fit at the moment, but hopefully, in the next week or so, he might make some progress.”
