On January 4, the local Mossos d'Esquadra force acknowledged that a woman had complained to them on Monday at one of their police stations.

In order for a judge to determine whether to call witnesses and the man she has identified as her alleged aggressor for questioning, a report on the incident with her statement will now be sent to an investigating court.

Alves entered the nightclub's bathroom by himself on the night of December 30 to 31 with the woman, El Taquigrafo, a news outlet based in Barcelona, claimed in a report on Tuesday. Alves left the bathroom after 47 seconds.

According to a detailed account of the video, the woman was seen sobbing when he left the venue with a male friend ten minutes later. She then alerted two female friends who then informed security, who then called the police.

Representatives of Alves, 39, told the Spanish press that he was in the club for a brief period of time but insisted that nothing happened. Alves has not yet issued any official sta tements.
