Gabriel Jesus of Arsenal has provided an update on the timeline for his recovery, telling UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov.
The 25-year-old said that he hopes to rejoin the Gunners' lineup in four to five weeks.
If you recall that Jesus suffered the serious knee injury during Brazil's World Cup campaign in Qatar.
In Sunday's Premier League match at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal defeated Manchester United 3-2 while Jesus, 25, watched from a box.
At halftime, Nurmagomedov, who was in the box next to them, stopped over for a conversation.
Jesus underwent knee surgery after suffering an injury during the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup. He is now recovering.
All Arsenal supporters have been wondering when Jesus will return, but manager Mikel Arteta has been holding his cards close to his breast.
The Brazilian striker informed Nurmagomedov that he could return to the pitch in four to five weeks time.
“Maybe four or five weeks more I come back,” Jesus said.
Gabriel Jesus joined Arsenal for reported £45m from Manchester City at the beginning of the season.
The Brazilian international made the switch to the Emirates Stadium along with his City team mate Oleksandr Zinchenko.
