After giving an update on his contract situation, David de Gea said he wants to finish his career with Manchester United.
Despite the fact that the 32-year-old is slated to become a free agent in the summer, the Red Devils do have the option of signing him for one more season.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News about his future, he said: “Yeah, I’m very relaxed.
“Just focus on training, perform as best as I can. But, for sure, it’s going to end in a good way.”
De Gea joined the team in 2011 after being acquired from Atletico Madrid and has since established himself as a key member.
Despite the fact that his current contract is about to expire, De Gea said he is "relaxed" about the situation and emphasized that United is "his club."
The next question De Gea was asked was whether he felt confident finishing his playing career at the Theatre of Dreams.
