
Liverpool coach, Jurgen Klopp have confirmed that Virgil van Dijk will be sidelined for the next 3-4 weeks.
Reportminds Blog understands that the former Southampton defender has joined the list of injured players at the Anfield stadium.
The Dutch international had to leave the field with a muscle complaint during the first half of Monday's Premier League match at Brentford.
After suffering a hamstring injury in Monday's 3-1 Premier League loss to Brentford, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp estimates that Virgil van Dijk will be out for "more than a month."
Offering an update on Van Dijk's fitness, Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com: "It's not a short-term and I had longer-term injuries as well in my career as a manager. So, it's somewhere in between.
"He will be out for a few weeks, definitely."
Liverpool will be without the 31-year-old for their forthcoming FA Cup third-round match against Wolves on Saturday before Premier League matches against Brighton, Chelsea, and Wolves, suggesting that the injury is worse than first feared.
Jordan Henderson, who missed the previous game due to a concussion, is anticipated to be available for selection once more.
