Manchester United are set to sign Wout Weghorst, a Burnley player but he's on loan at Besiktas.
Netherlands striker, Wout Weghorst appears to have said goodbye to Besiktas fans in preparation for his loan transfer from Burnley to Manchester United.The Netherlands striker was pictured saying goodbye to Istanbul giants supporters while speculations out of France suggested that Old Trafford would be his next destination.
Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato reports that Erik ten Hag is pleased to have Weghorst as a possible option for the rest of the season.
The 30-year-old scored two goals in 20 games after moving to Burnley for £12 million last January from German club Wolfsburg.
Weghorst's wages had to be transferred when the Clarets failed to prevent their relegation from the Premier League, and the midfielder ended up on loan with Besiktas of Turkey for the 2018–19 campaign.
It's been gathered reported that Besiktas will be happy to allow the striker leave, but they request for a compensation.
According to transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano Besiktas are open for negotiation but through his parent club, Burnley.
Erik Den Hag is looking to add more attacking players to his Manchester United, especially with the exit of Cristiano Ronaldo.
