Following tonight's decisive 3-1 victory over Paul Ince's team at Old Trafford, Manchester United has guaranteed their place in the FA Cup's fifth round.

Erik ten Hag's team defeated their opponents on Saturday night, with Casemiro scoring twice and Fred adding a goal each for the 20-time English winners.

As a result of seasoned attacker Andy Carroll receiving his second of two cards in the span of five minutes in the 65th minute, Reading concluded the game with 10 men.

Marcus Rashford, a star for Manchester United, expressed his displeasure with VAR for preventing him from scoring a record-breaking goal.

The Red Devils overcame 10-man Reading 3-1 on January 28 at Old Trafford to go to the FA Cup fifth round.

For the hosts, Casemiro scored twice, and his countryman Fred added a third. Amadou Salif Mbengue scored for the visitors.

Marcus Rashford had to beat Reading to become the first Manchester United player to ever score in 10 consecutive home games.

The 25-year-old thought he had completed the amazing feat when he headed the ball in at the back post eight minutes before halftime.

The VAR's determination that Wout Weghorst was offside cut his joy short.

When Rashford was denied a record that would have given him a place in the club's history, he showed his disgust with VAR.

The Manchester United attacker alleged that VAR rulings had already been against him three times this season.

However, the England star claimed that tying Dennis Viollet's 64-year record gives him great joy. He declared on Twitter :"Unfortunately, VAR beat me today once more. Three times this year, that is. It would have been amazing to break the record for straight overtime goals, but I'm happy to have tied Dennis Viollet's mark instead."

Dennis Viollet's record of nine consecutive home games with a goal was matched by Marcus Rashford's goal in the 2-1 victory over Manchester City.

The explosive attacker has been on fire this season for Erik ten Hag's squad, with 18 goals and six assists in 29 games across competitions.

The Manchester United forward had his worst season ever in 32 appearances across all competitions, scoring only five goals and dishing out two assists.
