After helping Argentina win the World Cup last month, Lionel Messi has returned to the Paris Saint-Germain training facility.
The Ligue 1 giants shared photos of Messi arrival with a tweet from the club’s official account on Wednesday reads: “Welcome back Leo,” accompanied by a video of the 35-year-old arriving at the complex.
Meanwhile, Lionel Messi was welcomed by teammates in the locker room, including Neymar of Brazil.
Several PSG team mates were pictured hugging the Argentine international as he was treated to hostile return.
Messi's return to the French club comes at a crucial moment for the squad, which last weekend lost to Lens for the first time this year. As a result, PSG's lead at the top of the Ligue 1 standings has been reduced to just four points.
Friday's French Cup match against Chatearoux is the team's next contest; for Messi, it may come too soon.
