According to Reportminds Blog, the mannequin was holding a sign that said, "Madrid hates Real."
Prior to the match between the two teams in the Copa del Rey quarterfinals, La Liga and Atletico Madrid both issued statements in which they denounced the acts of the aforementioned fans.
Madrid has also issued a statement in which they promise to "purge" individuals accountable for Vinicius's abuse.
"Real Madrid CF would like to thank the support and expressions of affection received after the unfortunate and disgusting act of racism, xenophobia and hatred against our player Vinicius," the club statement reads.
"We express our firmest condemnation of events that violate the fundamental rights and dignity of people, and that have nothing to do with the values that football and sport represent. These attacks like the ones our player now suffers, or those that any athlete can suffer, cannot have a place in a society like ours.
"Real Madrid is confident that all the responsibilities of those who have participated in such a despicable act will be purged."
Vinicius had already experienced racial taunts from Atleti supporters during a match between the two clubs at the Wanda Metropolitano in September. Every time Vinicius touched the ball, he was booed, and footage of the foul chants from Madrid supporters labeling him a "monkey" were made public.
The player has urged La Liga to take action, but the league has not taken many steps to penalize offenders or their teams.
Meanwhile the line up for the Madrid derby has been revealed. Carlo Ancelotti will host Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey this evening.
