The 26-year-old has adapted well to Mikel Arteta's team, as seen by his performance in games.
The Ukrainian claimed to have informed his teammates in the locker room that the Gunners might win the league, but it has now been established that he was correct about their ability.
Zinchenko didn't take long to see that Mikel Arteta had assembled a team that could make a genuine title challenge when he transferred from Manchester City to Arsenal last summer.
“I realised we have everything to achieve big things,” he said. “I started to speak in the dressing room, ‘Guys, forget top three or whatever, we need to think about the title.'
“Some of them were laughing, but no one is laughing now.”
Early in the season, Gabriel Jesus may have made the most of the news, but Zinchenko's effect is now starting to become just as apparent.
The Ukrainian international put on an equally impressive, if not better, performance in the dramatic victory over Manchester United on Sunday. He was outstanding in the north London derby victory at Spurs.
Bukayo Saka and Eddie Nketiah, who scored the goals, naturally received the majority of the post-game praise during the television broadcast, but Zinchenko was chosen by Arsenal supporters as their player of the match.
Zinchenko had the most touches (178) of any Arsenal player in the two games against Spurs and United.
Additionally, he made the most passes (136), engaged in the most duels (14), and engaged in the most aerial duels (6).
Only Martin Odegaard (12) and William Saliba (46) outperformed the other Arsenal players on display in terms of passes made into the opposition's box and passes made in the attacking direction.
Zinchenko also had a perfect take-on success rate for the duration of the two games and did not allow any players to effectively dribble past him.
