

On January 24, personnel from the Niger State Police Command apprehended a suspected ritualist, 38-year-old Abdulrahman Woru, for possessing a human skull in Babana, Borgu Local Government Area of the state.
DSP Wasiu Abiodun, the state police command's spokesperson, said in a statement that the suspect, who lives in Babana, is from the Benin Republic's Gbesewona village.
Abiodun further stated that the suspect claimed to have recently traveled to Benin Republic and observed a bag on the road with the skull inside when entering Nigeria.
Abiodun further stated that the suspect will be charged and arraigned before a court of competent jurisdiction soon.
