On February 15, 2023, days after Milan's victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16, Zlatan Ibrahimovic took the field with his son.
The 41-year-old Swedish striker played for the AC Milan youth team against Tottenham on Tuesday night alongside his son Maximilian, who saw very little or no action.
Maximilian Ibrahimovic, son of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, was placed on the left side of the field while his father switched to his regular position in the middle of the training game.
Since arriving from the Hammarby youth setup in his native Sweden in the summer of 2022, Maximilian, a 16-year-old, has been listed on the register at AC Milan stadium San Siro.
Nothing highlights Ibrahimovic's age more than seeing him line up next to his own child in a training game, despite the fact that his name has become synonymous with the elite of European football over the past ten years.
On Wednesday, February 15, 2023, in the late afternoon, Zlatan Ibrahimovic posted a video of the game with the caption, “DNA”.
Given that he has been battling a knee injury, the Swedish star was glaringly absent from Stefano Pioli's Champions League roster for the Italian club.
Ibrahimovic has yet to make a start for the Rossoneri this 2022–23 season after undergoing knee surgery last summer.
