Martin Odegaard stated that Arsenal should use their prior loss to Everton as motivation as they get ready for their upcoming game this week after their victory over Leicester and the use of VAR at the weekend.

Odegaard thinks that the team is upset and wants to display a "different side" during the next game after the Gunners' 1-0 defeat to the Toffees in their most recent meeting.

“[The previous defeat at Everton,] That’s motivation of course,” Odegaard said.

“The game we had there, the performance, everyone was really upset. We want to show a different side on Wednesday and get another three points.”

“As we’ve said many times we want to win all the games we play.

“It’s not really something special because it’s a game in hand, another game we want to win and looking forward to it.

“That’s the focus we have to have when we win and lose.

“We say it after each game. We had a few disappointing results but just came back and did the same thing as when we won.

“We have to keep that focus, work hard every day and take it step by step. Then we’ll see.”After Sean Dyche's team won the rematch at Goodison Park, Martin Odegaard is planning on getting even with Everton.

If Arsenal wins on Wednesday, they will have a game in hand over Manchester City and can increase their lead at the top of the standings to five points.

Odegaard also gave newcomers Jorginho and Leandro Trossard praise for their performances in their victory over Leicester.
