Jose Enrique, a former Liverpool defender, has advised Mohamed Salah to leave the team before the season ends.
Following the report that Paris Saint-Germain may want to make an offer of £71.2 million for the Egyptian international, Jose Enrique stated that it would be better for both the club and the player if they parted ways now.
The African Cup of Nations finalist from 2022 recently renewed his contract with Liverpool in the summer, but his performance this season has been subpar.
Despite his form this season, Salah, who is now a legend at the club, still leads the team with 17 goals in all competitions, indicating that he is a very valuable asset to the team.
Enrique is still insistent that Jurgen Klopp's team should consider selling the Egyptian this summer if Paris Saint-Germain make an offer for Salah during the transfer window.
No doubt that Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been struggling to flourish this season, as the Reds sit in 9th in Premier League table.
“He [Mohamed Salah] is a legend, one of the biggest legends of LFC [Liverpool] and no one can take that from him but I believe maybe [it is a] good time for him to move on and for us as well,” he tweeted.
