The Real Madrid player Federico Valverde sent Reinildo a get-well message on social media on Saturday night.
For those who are unaware, the defender Reinildo's name has dominated the headlines in Spain's capital this evening.
Unfortunately, the timing of this is completely incorrect.
Reinildo started today's Madrid derby at the Santiago Bernabeu, where Atletico fought to a share of the spoils.
However, the Mozambican was forced to leave the action midway through the first half due to what has since been determined to be a serious injury.
Following the fight, scans showed that Reinildo had torn his right ACL, placing him in danger of spending a lot of time on the sidelines.
And, as was already mentioned, it's none other than Federico Valverde who has since been quick to wish the Atleti star luck with his recovery.
The challenge that resulted in Reinildo's injury was initiated by midfielder Valverde, who in turn managed to put rivalries aside by posting the following get well message on Instagram," “Wishing you a speedy recovery. You will come back stronger.”
