Hugo Lloris' wife shares photo of Tottenham Hotspur star in leg brace after eight weeks out with knee injury

Following his most recent setback, HUGO LLORIS' wife posted a picture of the Frenchman's knee in a brace.

Due to knee ligament damage sustained in Sunday's 1-0 win over Manchester City, the 36-year-old could miss up to eight weeks of play.

Lloris has only missed one Premier League game in the past three years, and that came against Brentford the week after he lost the World Cup final to heartbreak.

The former French goalkeeper is expected to miss crucial league contests against Leicester, West Ham, and Chelsea as well as both of AC Milan's last-16 Champions League matches.

Lloris will also be unavailable for Tottenham's FA Cup fifth-round match at Sheffield United next month, as well as perhaps the quarterfinals if Tottenham advances.

The former France star is already making progress toward recovery, and his wife Marine posted a picture of him resting his injured knee on a cushion while wearing a leg brace on Instagram.

For the first time since his summer move, Fraser Forster will have the opportunity to perform in Lloris' absence.

Forster has only played in four games this year, but he will now start a Champions League knockout match and some crucial games in the race to finish in the top four.

Tottenham Hotspur, meanwhile, will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Leicester. A third straight league victory would allow Tottenham Hotspur to pass Newcastle and move up to fourth place.

When the European season resumes on Tuesday, Antonio Conte's team will travel to San Siro to play AC Milan.
