I left Man City because I didn't enjoy sitting on the bench - João Cancelo

Joao Cancelo has finally opened up reason he left Manchester City in the January transfer window.

The Portugal international completed shock move to Bayern Munich in the just concluded transfer window. 

Cancelo was an important player in Pep  Guardiola squad since he arrived from Juventus. 

But things seems to have turned the corner after he wasn't getting game time since the start of year since he came from World Cup. 

Cancelo completed the move to Bayern Munich on season loan with an option to make it permanent. 

Speaking to the media, he said he agreed the move to the Allianz Arena because he wasn't comfortable siting on the bench. 

Joao Cancelo on why he left Man City: "I've not had much game time, which influenced my decision - it's not about Pep. I really wanted new adventure, Bayern is dream club". 

The full back has been handed shirt no 22. 

He added: "I took this chance when it came. I knew this big club and I wanted to take this opportunity".
