Jorginho, a new Arsenal player, has said that manager Mikel Arteta was a big reason why he left Chelsea to join the Gunners.
On Tuesday night, Jorginho made a deadline-day switch from Chelsea to Arsenal.
The Italy international agreed to a contract with Arsenal for 18 months, with the option to extend it for an additional year.
The 31-year-old was quoted by Arsenal's official website as saying during his first press conference following his signing with the club:
Jorginho now has a chance of making his Arsenal debut this weekend against Everton in a Premier League match.
The 31 years old will wear shirt no 20 at the Arsenal football club.
“He [Mikel Arteta] was a big influence because I know that he tried a few times to get me. So, of course, he had a big influence [in me joining Arsenal].”
