Erik ten Hag, manager of Manchester United, has admitted that he accepted the position despite knowing it "maybe was a risk" due to his stubbornness.
Ten Hag arrived from Ajax at Old Trafford last summer and there have been significant change at the club.
After a 2-0 victory over Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday, he guided the Red Devils to their first trophy in six years.
Ten Hag has had to make difficult decisions over the past seven months, including letting Cristiano Ronaldo go from Old Trafford and benching club captain Harry Maguire.
“Maybe it was a risk [to take this job] but I am a little bit stubborn. I just love United.
“When I see our shirts, when I see the boundary with the fans, when I see Old Trafford, when I see the legacy Sir Alex [Ferguson] left and so many big players that were developed in United teams it makes a big impression
“When this opportunity came I thought this was the right club for me,” Ten Hag said
