Milan Skriniar's captaincy has allegedly been removed by Inter following his desire to quit the club.
The seasoned defender is said to have inked personal terms with PSG in January, but will join as a free agent at the conclusion of the season.
Skriniar has opted to join Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent next summer after rejecting Inter's contract offers.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the decision persuaded Inter to choose a new captain.
According to reports, PSG offered €10 million to sign Skriniar this winter, but the Serie A giants turned down the offer.
The 27-year-old defender was sent off against Empoli last week and will miss his team's next derby against Milan. It appears that the club will introduce their new skipper this weekend at San Siro.
From now on, Lautaro Martinez will take the captain's armband from Milan Skriniar.
Martinez will lead Inter to the Milan derby on Sunday, less than three weeks after winning the Supercoppa final 3-0 against their city rivals.
The Nerazzurri are currently second in Serie A, 13 points behind league leaders Napoli.
