Kevin De Bruyne, Aymeric Laporte and John Stones ruled out of Man City's UCL clash with RB Leipzig

Aymeric Laporte and Kevin De Bruyne will not be playing for Manchester City against RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Although Laporte hasn't been with the group since January due to a hamstring injury, John Stones is also not present.

Without Kevin De Bruyne and Aymeric Laporte, Manchester City has traveled to Germany for their Champions League match against RB Leipzig.

Laporte and De Bruyne, two crucial players for City who are looking to take the lead in the first leg of their last-16 match at Leipzig, will not be available due to their exclusion from the traveling team.

Pep Guardiola will be questioned about the two's absences when he speaks to the media later on Tuesday in Leipzig. Both recently played at Nottingham Forest but are currently unavailable.

John Stones, who is still sidelined with a hamstring injury, is also not present, but otherwise City has kept the same lineup from the team that drew at Forest on Saturday.

The squad includes young players Shea Charles and Alex Robertson, as well as Maximo Perrone, who joined in January and was later added to the Champions League squad.

Guardiola must choose whether to stick with Bernardo Silva as his designated left-back in the absence of De Bruyne and Laporte, or to bring Nathan Ake back to the position and shift Bernardo back into a more comfortable midfield role.

After sitting on the bench over the weekend, Julian Alvarez, who has previously played on the few occasions when De Bruyne has not started, might take De Bruyne's place.

Man City travelling squad to RB Leipzig: Ederson, Ortega, Carson; Dias, Walker, Ake, Gomez, Akanji, Charles, Lewis; Rodri, Phillips, Gundogan, Bernardo, Perrone, Robertson, Palmer; Foden, Mahrez, Grealish, Alvarez, Haaland
