Leicester City coach, Brendan Rogers reveals what he has told his players ahead of Arsenal clash

This weekend, Brendan Rodgers wants his Leicester team to play the league-leading Arsenal at their own game.

The Foxes manager admits he is wary of the quality of the Gunners but believes his team can give everything they have on Saturday at the King Power Stadium.

“I think both teams want to play,” Rodgers told reporters at a press conference. “That’s the identity and philosophy of both Mikel and myself.

“We want to create and score goals. I think we’ve shown that but, of course, you have to be mindful of the quality they have.

After moving two points ahead of champions Manchester City with a game left to play last week, Mikel Arteta's team will be looking to maintain their lead.

Leicester is hoping to resume its winning ways after last week's defeat at Manchester United put an end to their own recent resurgence, which had included four games without a loss.

He added: “Like in all the big games against top teams, you have to defend well, you have to be strong, do all the basics of the game well, track runners, be competitive, and then you have to believe in your football, believe that you can create and score goals. It should be a fantastic game.”
