Man Utd forward, Mason Greenwood & girlfriend Harriet Robson are expecting their first child just weeks after attempted rape charges dropped

Mason Greenwood of Manchester United learned that he would soon become a father for the first time only a few weeks after the attempted rape and assault charges against him were dropped.

In October of last year, the 21-year-old was accused of trying to rape someone, using coercive behavior, and assault.

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) cited a "withdrawal of key witnesses and new material that came to light" as developments that meant there was "no longer a realistic prospect of conviction." They added that they had a "duty" not to move forward with the case in such circumstances. The charges were dropped earlier this month.

The couple's child is expected to arrive in the summer, and his family is reportedly aware of this and excited.

Greenwood last played in a football game on January 22, 2022, against West Ham, but he has kept earning £75,000 every week since then. Until 2025, he is under contract.
