"My heart is shattered into millions of pieces" - AKA Mother continues to mourn the SA Rapper two weeks after his death

Kiernan "AKA" Forbes, a rapper from South Africa, was shot and killed in Durban two weeks ago. His mother, Lynn Forbes, paid him a moving homage on her social media space. 

The late rapper mother uploaded a picture of herself at her son's funeral last weekend while standing over his casket to Instagram on Friday, February 24, 2023.

Sharing the picture, "Oh my heart...The last two weeks have been surreal, more specifically the mornings. Waking up every morning, being reminded that this nightmare will never end, is the most excruciating pain I have ever felt. My heart is shattered into millions of pieces. I love you Kiernan," she captioned the photo.

If you recall that AKA was allegedly hit and killed two weeks ago outside the Wish restaurant on Florida Road. Tebello "Tibz" Motsoane, his former manager and close friend, died in the shooting as well. No one has been taken into custody so far.

Brigadier Vele Cele has been chosen to lead the homicide investigation, Police Minister Bheki Cele announced last week. In the ten days that followed the murder of Mrwetyana, a 19-year-old UCT student, he was crucial in locating Luyanda Botha.
