As Mikel Arteta prepares to bolster his squad, Arsenal is considering a move for Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling this summer.
Finding a new midfielder is the main priority for the Gunners. Declan Rice and Moises Caicedo are both still top targets, and there has even been speculation that they might both be signed.
Arsenal is hoping to re-sign Sterling this summer, though, as Champions League play will soon return to The Emirates stadium. A previous attempt by Mikel Arteta to sign the struggling former Manchester City player from Chelsea failed.
According to rumors, Arteta is a huge Sterling fan. He reportedly sees Sterling's participation in European competitions as essential.
Sterling is not thought to be interested in leaving Chelsea. Sterling, however, might end up being a victim of the Blues' excessive spending over the past few transfer windows and overstretched roster.
Sterling, who is now 28 years old, will soon have played 100 times for England. Having scored 20 goals in 82 games for the Three Lions, he has an impressive enough resume.
